Ranshofen – On the basis of preliminary and unaudited figures, the 2018 results of the AMAG Group are as follows:

With total shipments of approx. 424,600 tonnes (2017: 421,700 tonnes), revenue increased to approx. EUR 1.1 billion (2017: EUR 1.0 billion).

The preliminary EBITDA of the AMAG Group in the 2018 financial year of approx. EUR 141 million (2017: EUR 164.5 million) is below the earnings guidance published on October 31, 2018. This is mainly caused by unfavourable valuation effects in Q4/2018, especially in connection with the decrease in the aluminium and alumina price at the end of 2018. Furthermore, earnings are influenced by slightly deviations in shipments and start-up costs for the site expansion.

Preliminary EBITDA by divisions:

* Metal Division: approx. EUR 23 million (2017: EUR 41.3 million)

* Casting Division: approx. EUR 8 million (2017: EUR 5.7 million)

* Rolling Division: approx. EUR 96 million (2017: EUR 105.9 million)

* Service Division: approx. EUR 15 million (2017: EUR 11.5 million)

For the 2019 financial year, the Management Board assumes further growth in shipments due to the strategic growth path. However, it is still too early to issue an earnings forecast.

Further details on the 2018 financial year and the 2019 outlook will be disclosed in the course of the publication of the annual report on February 28, 2019.
