
Journalism students at the FHWien University of applied Sciences of WKW present „ALLAH – The research project“
The „Falter“-editor-in-chief, Florian Klenk-led project deals with the topic of Religion. The presentation will take place at 8. March 2019 at the FHWien University of applied Sciences of WKW.
Vienna (OTS) – What are the people of God think? How important is Religion to you, and when this is used as a pretext? What separates the world’s religions Christianity, Judaism and Islam – and what unites them? These questions, almost 40 students of the Master program „journalism & New media“ of the FHWien University of applied Sciences of WKW dedicated in her Multimedia project, „ALLAH“.
Stories of faith
With comprehensive research, the students collected a Semester-long stories, Interviews and reports about encounters. From this they developed reports, analyses, and Portraits, and prepared this multi-media. At work the students of the „Butterfly“editor-in-chief, Florian Klenk were accompanied. The project will be on Friday, may 8. March 2019, will be presented at the FHWien University of applied Sciences of WKW and the posts are the same time, [www.allah.wien] (http://www.allah.wien/).
Religion(s) in a secularized world
„ALLAH“ tells of religions and the relationship to you of the hopes, Wishes and Dreams. The students are back, the people in the foreground, and also deal with less-present aspects such as sexuality or the renunciation of Faith. The spectrum of topics ranges from Jihad and radicalisation, and to love and genital mutilation.
„Faith has become in today’s secularized world, many foreign,“ explains one involved in the project student. „We wanted to know what Faith and Religion with the people – and what people of Faith and Religion.“
Discussion of Rabbi, priest and Imam
The project „ALLAH“ tells the story of the living together of members of different religions. A particular concern of the inter-religious dialogue was the students: So a Rabbi, a priest and an Imam met and discussed with each other about the Central issues of the faith.
Project presentation with the students
At the project presentation at the 8. March will give young journalists an insight into their work and tell of their experiences. All Interested are cordially invited.
