Topic: presentation of the first international study on the risks of term of old nuclear power plants & demands to the EU for specific regulations to limit the security risk extensions
Nothing is more in the construction of new nuclear power plants – therefore, the nuclear industry, despite the already outdated power plant Park on the lifetime extension for old nuclear power plants. This is highly risky, and so far, within the EU, not regulated. Councillor Anschober, the Initiator of the ‚Alliance of the regions for a European exit-wide nuclear‘, presented in Brussels the first interim report of the international study on the safety risks by means of maturity extensions for Europe’s age-Old Nuclear power plants, and clear calls for Europe-wide regulations and limitations by the EU Commission.
