IFCO as a leader in innovation in Germany excellent

Pullach, Germany (ots) – IFCO SYSTEMS, the leading global provider of reusable packaging solutions for fresh products, has been awarded by the F. A. Z.-Institut as a leader in innovation in Germany. IFCO holds a top place in the category „conveying, Packing, Storing“. The award for the innovative power of IFCO and its reusable plastic containers (Reusable Plastic Container RPC) proves.

In the framework of the study „Germany’s leader in innovation“ were analyzed 33,000 companies from Germany with respect to innovation power. The study is based on data from the European patent office. The study was carried out by Prognos on behalf of the F. A. Z.-Institut and in cooperation with the WINS Institute for Management and economic research.

„Our goal is to optimize our products and services constantly, in order to enable a more efficient Supply Chain, the benefit of all Involved. We are very proud of the award of the F. A. Z.-Institut as a German innovation leader,“ says Wolfgang organ dinger, CEO of IFCO SYSTEMS. „In recent years we have placed much emphasis on the product development. This innovative product families, such as our Lift Lock RPCs are created, which ensure a simple and safe handling. Our innovations reduce the environmental impact of our customers and convey the advantages of RPCs are also used in other industries, in addition to fruits and vegetables, such as, for example, the Bakery and meat industry.“

Innovation is based on patents

As a Basis for the study, all of the patents of German companies were analyzed, which were registered worldwide in the last ten years. Also, the share of German inventors accounted for in the analysis. As a German leader in innovation, companies whose patents have been above average, frequently quoted, and which have influenced so that their corresponding knowledge and technology field significantly, the also above-average, innovative inventions, and German inventors working together.
