PROPAK industries: GPA-djp prepares for action
Existing offer of the employer is not acceptable
Vienna (OTS) – After four rounds of negotiations could be achieved for the approximately 9,000 employees of the PROPAK-industry (production of paper and cardboard products) to reach agreement on a collective contract. The Union of private employees, print, journalism and paper (GPA-djp) is now preparing for action.
„This last offer the employer an increase in wages and salaries by 2.7% in no way reflects the quantities and value growth in this sector and is significantly lower than comparable industrial areas. Therefore, we will now increase the pressure on the operating level,“ said stv. Federal managing Director of the GPA-djp, Karl Dürtscher.
„In the next few weeks, businesses operating in the PROPAK-meetings to trade Union action such as Strikes“, GPA-djp negotiator Christian Schuster.
