
Salaries of commercial newspaper employees to rise by 2.8%
„VÖZ“ and GPA-djp reached the social partnership agreement
Vienna (OTS) – With a 1. April 2019, the minimum basic salaries for the approximately 2,600 commercial employees in daily and weekly Newspapers and their Online – and in addition to spending by 2.8%. The Association of Austrian Newspapers („vöz“) and the Union of private employees, print, journalism and paper (GPA-djp) agreed in yesterday’s round of Negotiations.
In addition to the increase in the minimum base salaries, the sum of all previous quinquennien sums and the apprentice compensation will be increased by 2.8%. The term of the agreement is 12 months.
In addition, the crediting of waiting periods, including the family of time credit has been increased to 24 months, as well as the introduction of a right to family time, the so-called „daddy month“, agreed.
