
Venture Global Calcasieu Pass, receives export licence for countries outside of the FTA on the part of the Ministry of energy of the United States
Arlington, Virginia (ots/PRNewswire) – Venture Global LNG, Inc. announces that the office of Fossil energy of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE Department of energy of the United States of America) granted the approval for the Venture Global Calcasieu Pass LNG, to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana to countries outside the Free Trade Agreement (FTA-free trade agreement). In accordance with the provisions of the disposal of the Calcasieu Pass is allowed to export up to 17.560 Million cubic meters (Mcm) of natural gas per year (to 48.1 Mcm/day). This is valid for a period of 25 years, commencing either on the date of first export or seven years from the date of the authorisation requested; depending on which event occurs earlier. The ruling follows prior approvals from the DOE to Export to FTA countries, as well as the recently adopted in the disposal of the U. S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC energy regulatory Commission of the United States of America), the authorisations referred to in paragraphs 3 and 7 of the Natural Gas Act (natural gas act of the United States of America) granted, in order to position the project to build and operate.

The plant Calcasieu Pass, with a nominal capacity of 10 MTPA (million. t. per year) will use a comprehensive process solution from Baker Hughes, a company of the GE group (BHGE),. This modular, factory-made production facilities of medium size. Venture Global has signed a contract with Kiewit on a turnkey EPC project for the Design, planning, construction, acceptance, testing and warranty of the Calcasieu Pass system.
The company is also developing the liquefied natural gas export facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, with a nominal capacity of 20 MTPA, as well as the associated Gator Express Pipeline. Plaquemines LNG has signed a binding sale and purchase agreement over 20 years with PGNiG.
