Austrian young peasantry supported the candidate for the EU elections in 2019

Vienna (OTS) – The 26. May 2019 is a day of decision. On this day, decides, whether, in the future, a peasant representative of the interests of the Austrian agriculture and rural areas in the EU Parliament is represented. For the Austrian Young farmers is an absolute Must: „We are in the middle of negotiations around the future shape of the Common agricultural policy. Farmers ‚ representatives with in-depth knowledge and practical experience can work optimally for our farmers and their concerns,“ young farmers convinced the Federal Chairman Franz Xaver Broidl.

With determination for the family farms to enter

For the Austrian Young farmers, the nomination of Simone schmiedt Bauer on place 4 of the ÖVP’s candidate list is the perfect choice. „Simone schmiedt farmer is an active farmer and direct marketer, she knows the many facets of the local agriculture and your daily performances. At the same time, you know first-Hand what conditions are necessary for it, so that the next Generation of our family farms has a successful future“, stresses Broidl the close relation to agriculture. „Their years of experience and honest dedication as a municipal politician, especially as a mayor, Simone schmiedt Bauer, as well as their resolve for their fellow citizens to enter,“ affirms Secretary-General Andreas Kugler and refers to the numerous volunteer activities of the nominee.

Preferential voting and the election campaign as a special Motivation

At this year’s EU election, an absolute preference comes within the ÖVP for the first time, vote system, a vote counts as a point. „This new requirement is an additional Motivation for us to collect as many votes as possible for Simone Schmidt, Bauer, and thus for a strong mandate in the European Parliament.
