The Austrian leasing industry achieved in the year 2018 a renewed above-average growth. The volume of new business increased in comparison to the previous record year 2017 11.1 percent to 7.6 billion euros. A significant contribution to this result, especially the fast-growing real estate leases (+ 22.6 percent), as well as the division’s equipment Leasing (+ 20.6 percent). With a share of 72.3 per cent, the division motor vehicle Leasing remains the strongest revenue-generating segment of the Leasing new business in 2018. Dr. Alexander Nekolar, President of the Association of Austrian Leasing companies (COMPLETELY): „The positive economic of the domestic and international markets played a significant role in the re-growth of the leasing industry.“
Car Leasing in 2018 still on course for Success
Despite a decline in the value of car new car registrations, up 2.1 percent, recorded in the vehicle leasing market to 2018, Top-quality results. As a result, the average contract amount increased by 9.8 percent to 76.924 Euro (2016: 70.047 Euro). 41.1 percent of the Mobilien-Leasing-new Business in 2018 is attributable to the financing of equipment and machinery, 18 percent on ships, aircraft and Railways, and 11.5 percent in Computer and office equipment, as well as the Rest on the Other.
Real estate Leasing is on the upswing
In the sector of real estate lease succeeded in the domestic lease-to reach out to businesses in 2018, a new strong increase in the amount of 22.6 percent and to achieve a new business volume of EUR 422 million.
Similarly, the average contract amount increased by 17.9 percent to approximately 5.3 million euros.
