Factory NÖ aid on international women’s day: Over 90 % of the employees are women!

On 8. March world women’s day. Suitable for this purpose, the auxiliary plant of lower Austria stressed the high importance of women for the lower Austrian social landscape.

St. Pölten (OTS) – about 3,200 employees employed by the Agency of lower Austria. Of these, 92 percent are female. Thus, the Agency is one of the largest women employer in the country. Family-friendliness is a top priority. Because two-thirds of the employees are parents and have a total of almost 2,000 children. In particular, women are often faced with the challenge of family life with the professional life. „That’s why family-friendliness is of particular concern to us,“ explains President Michaela Hinterholzer. „We try to provide the conditions for the succeed Balance between work and family.“ These include framework conditions, a high proportion of part-time employment, flexible working hours, graced with the design (no night services), and special offers for Karen and parents. This makes the auxiliary plant of lower Austria has a very family friendly company. Since 2007, the social enterprise is consistently awarded the certificate „Audit career and family“.

Staff searched the inside. Need for care and childcare is booming!

Only a few industries are booming in Austria, to such an extent as the health and social sector. Of the 47,000 people in need of care are currently being cared for in lower Austria. In 2030 there will be one and a half times as much, in 2050 even more than twice as many – that shows a brand-new study of the Österr. Institute for economic research. And also, the need for child care is increasing continuously. Specifically in these fields, the Agency is looking for qualified professionals, but also in other areas looking for staff.
