
FH Salzburg under Double signed-Degree program with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
Salzburg/Puch (OTS) – Salzburg University of applied Sciences students of the bachelor course „Innovation & Management in Tourism“ can look forward to from the winter semester of 2019/20 for a new Double Degree program. In collaboration with the „Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB)“ in Spain, students can earn two Bachelor’s degrees in four years.
Students complete the first three years of their studies at the FH Salzburg and then for a year in Barcelona. Through the agreement, you do not have to pay tuition fees in Spain and take advantage of an exciting content, cultural and linguistic exchange.
„Barcelona is a Top tourism Destination and study at the UAB offers a perfect complement to the hard points at the FH Salzburg. Students have the opportunity to expand their Knowledge, language skills, to improve and to gain work experience abroad,“ says head of degree Programme Eva Brucker about the new cooperation.
In the framework of the programme, students can undertake a part of their ECTS points, in the Form of internships, and so in addition to studying abroad for international work experience. The program is offered at both universities in English, some courses can be completed in Barcelona, in Spanish. Can apply of Salzburg, already in the degree program selected students at the FH.
By the way: applications for the [bachelor’s degree programme „Innovation & Management in Tourism“] (http://www.fh-salzburg.ac.at/imt-e) for Start in the autumn of 2019 are still up to 15. May be possible.
Double Degree programs at the FH Salzburg
In addition to the new program with the UAB, the students of the study programme Innovation & Management in tourism since 2014 the opportunity to complete a double degree at the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan.
Also other programmes to offer Double-Degree programs for highly qualified students: students of the master’s degree programme in information technology & System-Management, and the master’s course in multimedia technology can be completed at the Halmstad University in Sweden, a double degree. The long-standing partnership with the University of Tennessee in the United States is revived, among other things, through a Double-Degree program in courses such as wood technology & timber construction and wood technology & wood industries.
