FPÖ-Schimanek: „100 years of women in politics, be a reason to be Proud of“

„On international women’s day 2019, we’ll be the Reached looked, rather than only grievances show“

Vienna (OTS) – On 8. March is celebrated the „International women’s day“. This offers each year the opportunity to teach a special view on women in politics and society. Success in terms of equality are celebrated and especially a lot of catching up to do in this respect is shown.

The women’s day 2019, the woman spokeswoman for the FPÖ, NAbg would like to. Carmen Schimanek, especially to celebrate a big milestone in equality: „The right of women to vote is just celebrating its 100-year anniversary. In 1919 the first free elections were held in Austria, where women were admitted – both active as well as passive right to vote. On 4. In March 1919 moved the first eight women in the Austrian national Assembly.“

Generally speaking, Schimanek sees this anniversary as a good opportunity to let the achievements of women’s movements in the last hundred years and reminisce: „It is really amazing how enormous the Situation for women in the last decades has improved, while before in the history of little action. It is of course not yet reached the end of the flag pole, but proud of the achievements of women in Western society may be all.“
