Vienna (OTS) – „The year of 2018, brought a sharp increase in pension splitting. These Figures show how important awareness is,“ the ÖVP-woman boss Juliane Bogner-Strauß very pleased about this positive Trend: „for Me it was always a concern to make the possibility of voluntary pension splitting, well-known. Because it is only fair that the children will count education time as a partnership for the Board. Now we see that awareness.“

Alone in the previous year, 412 applications to the Board were provided for in the insurance institution. That is more than three Times as many applications per year as in the past, Because from 2010 to 2017, a total of only 954 applications were introduced.

In spite of the gratifying increase, the Figures also show the importance of an automatic pension splitting would be. Because with more than 80,000 births per year, less than one percent of the women to benefit from the possibility of pension splitting. „I will, therefore, continue for an automatic pension splitting“, stresses Bogner-Strauß. „I’m already in talks with experts.“
