Parliament: exhibition on the founding of the Republic, at the heroes ‚ square, met with keen interest

Sobotka high number of 65,000 visitors pleased

Vienna (PK) – Considerable visitor interest was the freely accessible exhibition founding of the Republic, on the heroes ‚ square. Under the title „days of decision: establishment of the Republic in 1918,“ illuminated the context of the Exhibition, anchored films at the Erzherzog-Karl-equestrian monument the events in October and November, 1918, for the establishment of the Republic of Austria is of crucial importance.

„It’s more than gratifying that the exhibition of Parliament, founding of the Republic, has met with such a high number of visitors on the interest,“ said national Council President Wolfgang Sobotka. The exhibition not only showed the events on the political-strategic level and the relevant persons on the way from a monarchy to a Republic, but dealt also with the social developments and the disastrous situation of the population in the former days of Destiny.

The exhibition was on 19.
