
Banks: so Far, no sufficient offer of the employer
GPA-djp calling Austria-wide BR-a conference for 12. March
Vienna (OTS) – The negotiations on collective agreements for about 73,000 employees in the Austrian banking industry also brought yesterday, on 7. March no result. „Neither in terms of the percentage of the frame right there were offers of employers, which are our expectations,“ says the Negotiator of the GPA-djp, Wolfgang Pischinger.
„The economic figures of the banks are currently outstanding and there is no reason that the employees of the credit economy with a lower salary increase than other industries in the last few months. The officially confirmed annual income of the industry amounted to 5.7 billion and is a historical record profit and no one understands why the workers should not benefit from it,“ said Pischinger.
Since the number of employees gradually, in comparison to 2008, a decrease of 8.3 %, and generates, in turn, in the case of the remaining employees, a massive work pressure and leads to a huge amount of work compression.
