GRASS ad international women’s*day: out to 8. March!

GRASS calls for real solutions instead of flowers and chocolates

Vienna (OTS) – „We demand real solutions instead of roses and chocolates! International women’s*day, it is once more on the still existing inequality to the attention of,“ says Kim Novaković, activist* Green & Alternative Students (GRAS). It is unequal pay for equal work, or everyday sexist Attacks: the goal of equality is not yet achieved.

At universities, we are confronted with Patriarchal structures. So the women*proportion Professor_innen at universities is just 25.5 percent. “In order for these structures to break up the GRASS calls for more promotion and representation of women in leadership positions”, said Novaković.

In times of increasing anti-feminist Backlashes, the blue strokes to black Federal government grants for women*projects, and provides fundamental women’s rights to the debate. „We defend ourselves loudly and say; get out on the road for 8. March!“, so Novaković. “Whether it’s like today on the street or at the University – we will continue to fight for true equality!”, Novaković says.
