The SPÖ-Schieder: Penzing mourns the loss of Christine Schirmer

Vienna (OTS/SPW) – „it is With profound sadness that we heard the news of the death of Christine Schirmer’s note“, so the SPÖ Penzing district party Chairman NR Mag. Andreas Schieder.

The SPÖ Penzing is deeply concerned about the sudden and unexpected death of comrade Christine Schirmer on may 6. March 81. The age of deceased.

Comrade Schirmer was from 1973 to 1994, a member of the district Executive, and from 1973 to 1979 Bezirksrätin. In 1979, she was a municipal Councilor and, in February 1987, she was the first woman in this Position, the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Vienna municipal Council. From December 1987 to December 1991, she was Executive city councillor for consumer protection, women’s issues, legal Affairs and citizens ‚ service. After the municipal election in 1991, she took on the role of the First President of the Viennese provincial Parliament, positions she held until November 1994.

Her death leaves a big gap and deep concern. With their use, both in the SPÖ, Penzing, as well as in the Vienna city Council and as First President of the Viennese provincial Parliament, you will remain the SPÖ Penzing always as a brave and passionate social Democrat in memory.
