Totschnig zum Tag des Waldes: Wald stärkt Wirtschaft und Klima

Am 21. März wird weltweit der Internationale Tag des Waldes gefeiert und damit die Bedeutung der Wälder in ihren ökologischen, wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Funktionen hervorgehoben. Das diesjährige Motto lautet „Wälder und Wirtschaft“. Es wird von der Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF), einem Zusammenschluss internationaler Organisationen wie der Ernährungs- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen (FAO), festgelegt.
