About the piece

The Libretto by Leopold Deitelbaum is fast-paced, written in the style of a Broadway Musical Comedy of the 1940s. Serious themes such as escape, jealousy, struggle for Survival, love in difficult times, in an entertaining way. A missing suitcase full of jewelry and musical treasures, as well as the secret of a Hidden flowering, Imperial Rose provide the framework for this fast-paced Comedy. The new operetta „The Rose of the Emperor“ pleased with a colorful bouquet of melodies, energetic dance routines and witty dialogue full of charm and poetry.
