Lindner: international women’s day is also in behalf of men!
The SPÖ-equal treatment speaker underlines, calls for „the courage to Quote“
Vienna (OTS/SK) – The international women’s day on 8. March should just be in times like these, a job for men in the whole country, emphasizing the SPÖ-equality spokesman Mario Lindner. „We are faced with a Federal government that has equal rights in our country at all levels of the fight announced. Therefore, it must be clear: The women’s day is women, but all of us,“ says Lindner. „Just as men, we need to be proud of, us for full and comprehensive equality. An equal society is at the end of the day better for ALL of us!“ ****
As the Vision of an equal future could look like, has shown for Lindner, the Wife petitions for a referendum that is currently being discussed in Parliament. After almost a half a Million in Austria have supported the demands of the people’s desire, pointing to the black-blue government, what do you think of genuine equality – which is nothing. „Regardless of whether the unfair family’Bonus‘, in the fight against violence, or in the case of the question of equal representation: the Black-and-Blue has no interest in serious solutions. This is exactly why it needs a strong civil society engaged in this fight,“ stresses Lindner.
In particular, the demand for more „courage to Quote“ support of the SP-equal treatment speaker: „The claim that all, regardless of gender, a seat at the table, would have to be the most logical thing in the world. Both the decision-making structures in the economy, as well as, at least in the policy should reflect our society as it is.“
Lindner stresses, as in the equal treatment Committee of the national Council last week: „It can not be that Austria has more mayors with the first name of ‚Josef‘, as the women in this office. You do not need to squeeze the eyes really very hard to detect that there’s something going wrong!“
In this context, Lindner proposes: „Berlin has the 8. March made just for the holiday, why not in Austria? If the government sweeps all the workers with the good Friday a holiday, it would be a good sign, to make the world women’s day on the free day for ALL,“ said Lindner’s proposal, said: „As Johanna Dohnal said:
Our Vision is to be a human future. Without role constraints, without men bündelei and feminine mystique.“ (Closing) up
