Linz (OTS) – The government is. now, the ethics lessons from the 9 School level compulsory subject, if you visit no other religion teaching as a kind of Alternative to the coffee house. The idea is not new and it has been proven also in school try in practice. Nevertheless, criticism is now also. There is, firstly, complained that it had not been started in lower level or in the elementary school the teaching of ethics. But this has also practical reasons: Because you would need, at a stroke, more teachers, and at least so far, the Problem with 15 was really virulent. But, of course, could be extended in a second step, the ethics of duty … but you stumble, if you would like to make two steps at once.
The second point of criticism is that it should actually give the ethics classes instead of religion classes. The proposed ideas – whether it’s the „fan-model“ of the IV, or the „neutral ethics classes“ à la Viennese SPÖ – are Mature in any way to the extent that they could be implemented with the fall of 2020. You will now see how co-existence of ethics and different religion teach proven. It should not prove themselves, anyway consequences.
