
Good hope: Where pregnant Teenagers are supported
Vienna (OTS) – „Junior is on the way!“ What is a joyful message for the one that is for a Teenager often becomes a test of endurance. The Team of YoungMum advises and supports young mothers under 20. The donations-funded institution, has since January a new home in the St. Josef hospital in Vienna, in April, invites you to a fundraiser to Wiener Metropol.
The 1,700 babies per year in Austria of Teenage mothers in the world, in Vienna there are around 500. However, Teenagers are expecting a baby, the support of the family sometimes is not large, socially blows against the young mothers in many situations, against the wind. YoungMum, a device for the monitoring of pregnant women, young people, helps in these cases. „In spite of all opposition, the young women who come to us say Yes to life with your Baby. We will let you in this so difficult time not alone,“ says Nisfeta Pacic, MSc, a midwife and head of YoungMum. The Team of the institution, advises and accompanies the young women are free of charge and unbureaucratically during pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium, and is also in the first year with the Baby still in contact. „Whether in the case of problems with parents, partners, school, employer, government, or in health issues, the Teenagers get support from us in all these areas,“ Nisfeta Pacic.
Pregnant at 14: „You’ll be all right“
Valentina Schmolik, BSc know a song by the difficult situation of young mothers to sing, but even with 14 pregnant. New home in the St. Josef hospital of Vienna
