
EYE/UG for the AK-choice, „A strong voice for climate protection, Social justice and human rights in a strong AK!“
Alternative, Green and Independent unionists want to emerge stronger from AK-elections. Karl Öllinger on the fourth place on the list.
Vienna (OTS) – In the framework of today’s press conference, the EYE/UG Alternative, Green and Independent trade Union presented their top team, as well as the Central content for the AK-choice.
Top candidate of the EYE/UG Klaudia Paiha, a Federal government spokeswoman and member of the Executive Board of the AK Vienna. „We just need now – in the face of a government that represents as no other the interests of the industry and the splits – a strong work chamber. But we also need a working chamber, the forward-looking responses to the key societal challenges – climate change, growing inequality, and weaker of will of social cohesion,“ calls for Klaudia Paiha.
That’s exactly why there is a need for a strong EYE/UG in a strong AK, because:
„Environmental and climate protection, social justice, democracy and human rights – all together, on an equal footing, with a strong presence there with us. This makes us unique in the trade unions and chambers of Labour.“ Specific criticism came from Klaudia Paiha about to Mention AK and ÖGB to the controversial detention: „Because of specific fundamental rights, which are non-negotiable. Since the AK must confess to clear the flag!“
Zwt.: Karl Öllinger: AK also has a responsibility towards civil society

Zwt.: Marion Polaschek: problems of universities and public companies in the AK bring
Marion Polaschek, EYE/UG candidate and stv. Chairman of the works Council at the University of Vienna, underlined the increasing importance of the AK for the public services. „Issues such as casualisation, excessive working hours, work pressure and compression are reached in the universities and other outsourced public services,“ said Marion Polaschek. „The AK is important, therefore, as a representation of interests for Employees in the public service.“ Polaschek will not only increase the turnout at the universities – „because it takes a strong character for a strong AK“ – but in the AK for the employees of public companies engage.
Klaudia Paiha in conclusion: „this AK-choice, it is not only a strong AK, but also a strong EYE/UG – because only this can ensure that climate protection, human rights, social justice and democracy have a strong voice and are treated equally.
