Reading circles in Vienna: „I’m a book.“

Physicist Werner Gruber, book expert Rotraut Schöberl, musicians, Roman Gregory and many others say from the book of your life

Vienna (OTS) – With the Festwochen into the city-production, „I am a book. Vienna*tell you from the book of your life“, the Vienna festival weeks at the locations of the Wiener Volkshochschulen and the libraries of Vienna, reading circles, in which people come together to read from their book of life, and to tell each other the backgrounds. What makes a vitally important book? The manner in which it affects our life? And this experience can be with people parts, which you have just met? 13. March 2019 come together on 27 dates in Vienna and Wiener, your the book of life.

The stories of these very personal encounters and readings in a small circle emerges is a picture of the diversity of Vienna, and bring different reading cultures in contact with each other. The Journalist Thomas Wolkinger to listen to the reading circles, logged, asks for and collects a selection of these stories. The artist Petya Dimitrova extended to graphical images, Narratives and Comics, printed as a Magazine. Will be presented the Magazine at a public closing event on may 2. June, 2019, in a Reading-Performance in the gösser halls, moderated by Michael Köhlmeier.

„I’m a book. Wiener*from the book of your life“ is telling a production of the Wiener Festwochen in cooperation with the libraries of Vienna and the Wiener Volkshochschulen. The project is inspired by the Performance of „Time has asleep in the afternoon sunshine to fall“ by Mette Edvardsen, the of 11. to 18. May 2019 takes place in the framework of the Wiener Festwochen.
