Christoph Neumayer, Secretary General of the Industriellenvereinigung (IV), today, Wednesday, on the occasion of the annual press conference of the research promotion Agency (FFG). Many achievements of modern life be without the underlying research and development (R&d) and the innovative people and companies that you have provided is not conceivable.
Companies form the core of the local innovation system. „Around 65 percent of all research spending in Austria will be borne by the company – half of the leading companies provide high networking of SMEs and science. As well as „Horizon Europe“ as from 2021, this high strategic importance for Austria as a research and technology location. „We are here, thanks to the commitment of our company, very successful. Almost two-thirds of the self-imposed target of 1.5 billion euros from Horizon 2020 to‘ acquire, have already been achieved. This is the path we need to go further and the remaining tenders strategic use,“ says Neumayer. Decisive for the success, especially in the area of key technologies and information and communication technologies as well as energy, climate and Transport. „This strength of fields at both national and European level to secure and expand“, the IV-Secretary-General concludes.
